Core Technical Contributions

Adds a dedicated Bria node that outputs a true transparent cut-out of the video subject instead of a flat MP4 with a solid background, and enables the SaveWEBM node to encode and save the alpha channel using the VP9 codec.

AI Impact Judgment

Video editors and content creators using ComfyUI workflows can now export videos with true transparent backgrounds, making it possible to composite AI-processed subjects directly onto other footage without manual masking or green-screen workarounds. The previous node only produced opaque MP4 files with a solid color fill. Watch whether the VP9 alpha encoding works reliably across different video lengths and resolutions, and whether downstream tools like DaVinci Resolve or After Effects correctly interpret the WEBM alpha channel.

Github Pull RequestComfy-Org/ComfyUI PR #14257: [Partner Nodes] allow SaveWEBM node to save with alpha channel; add BriaTransparentVideoBackground node

Today the existing Bria Remove Video Background node can only put a solid color behind the subject - it returns a flat MP4, which has no transparency. This PR adds a dedicated Bria node that gives you the actual cut-out, plus a small tweak to Save WEBM node to save alpha channel when the vp9 codecs is used.
